GO-Bio Initial Overview
The GO-Bio Initial Program, an initiative by the Bundesministeriums für Forschung, Technologie und Raumfahrt (BMFTR), supports early-stage life science research with high innovation and value creation potential. The program aims to refine and implement commercialization ideas from life sciences by supporting them in up to two phases:
- First, in the exploratory phase, ideas are honed, market opportunities are assessed, and intellectual property rights are explored. A team is formed, partners sought, and a business plan developed.
- If the idea proves promising, the feasibility phase can follow to ensure that the idea is viable – for example, for further funding programs, licensees, or startups.
